Resources For Understanding The War Beyond The Bulletins

Defense Politics Asia's youtube channel and their map, who is an independent youtuber with a mostly neutral viewpoint.

Moon of Alabama, which tends to have good analysis (though also a couple bad takes here and there)

Understanding War and the Saker: neo-conservative sources but their reporting of the war (so far) seems to line up with reality better than most liberal sources.

Alexander Mercouris, who does daily videos on the conflict and, unlike most western analysts, has some degree of understanding on how war works. He is a reactionary, however.

On the ground: Patrick Lancaster, an independent journalist reporting in the Ukrainian warzones.

Unedited videos of Russian/Ukrainian press conferences and speeches.

Telegram Channels

Again, CW for anti-LGBT and racist, sexist, etc speech, as well as combat footage.

If Iran got rid of the mandatory Hijab, I genuinely wonder how many westerners would stop caring about regime change in Iran?

Edit: Also yeah ACAB applies to Iran's morality police as well

Whatever a state actually does is irrelevant. If it is "bad/enemy", westerners will hate it. If it is "good/ally", westerners won't care.

If Iran were an ally of the west right now, nobody would care about regime change. Conversely, if Iran got rid of the law and remains on bad terms with the west, westerners will still call for regime change

The mandatory Hijab law like most of the Islamic capture of the former revolution originates in the rural/semi-rural politics of the Iranian petite-bourgeoisie/landlord classes

So the overthrow of these laws depends on the current state of Iran's urban/rural ratio

Their reaction would be "The Iranian regime is weakening, now is the opportunity to ramp up sabotage to overthrow them."
