Azov battalion is still there, so the rumors are still rumors, but it seems very likely that there are some NATO officials there. So far, Azov's spokesperson in his videos and on twitter has asked Pope Francis, Elon Musk, Turkey, and even China for an "extraction" to a third country. Russia's position is the same: come out unarmed or don't.
Preferable outcome to be honest. Although the information that these people have might be valuable and you might be able to convince some to give up details about crimes of the others.
