feels like whatever progress that was made in trying to steer the left away from being seen as bougie shit is just completely gone.

Lol, when I first saw the picture I thought it was some lady getting married and got that written on her wedding dress, like cringe yes but let people have their fun.

And then I found out it was AOC at the fucking Met Gala next to literal billionaires. I mean it's gross to go to the pedophile gala in the first place and the only redeeming thing she could have done is gone around spitting in people's faces. But wearing that dress is something else.

The oppressed are allowed once every few years to decide which particular representatives of the oppressing class shall represent and repress them in parliament!

But Burger King will actually sell you a vegan "Impossible Whopper". The Met will only ever supply bougie fashion attention.

But BK actually sells you the vegan meal.

The Met does not actually result in higher taxes on the rich.

The perfect analogy, because this is very important lol, would be if the Met supported slightly higher taxes and then that happened but overall they said, "no more".

        It’s not vegan.

The Impossible Whopper is still grilled on the same cooktop as the regular Whopper.

There are insect bits in most foods and rodents are casualties of all farming so by the standards of "there is some animal in there" or "some animals died for that", anything but am extremely carefully researched diet would not be vegan. And God help us if we make an effort to account for human welfare. Cashews are right out.

          :im-vegan: btw.

Worse, you get nothing from the met. Burger King would at least try to sell you some beyond meat.

Met Gala 2021: Date, Time, How to Watch & Everything to Know

In 2019, tickets reportedly cost about $35,000 per person.

    Edit 1

Of course - she probably was invited and got in free. But then the question is - who paid?

    Edit 2

    A redditor...

You know that the met works with fashion designers and if you wear their clothes - you get in for free. Most attendees never have to pay.
